What's University Teaching?

This is the name adapted by the Office of the Director of Instruction under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs as an overall title for the different training activities ODI offers and/or manages for UP Diliman. Through the University Teaching (UT), concerns of faculty as well as trends, issues and practices observed in university teaching are tackled.

Who's it for?

This is for all faculty new and seasoned, as well as teaching assistants and lecturers who wish to update, upgrade and enhance their teaching competencies. This is U.P. Diliman's answer to the challenge of the millennium - a nurturing body of professionals aware of the university's tradition of excellence and professionals bent on facing the challenges of the future.

How does it work and how to participate in UT?

Every year, the ODI issues a brochure where the schedule of the seminars and/or workshops are listed. Anyone interested in any of the seminars can enlist through their college dean or chair or the college committee on Instruction. Because of the large number of faculty wanting to get into the seminars and/or workshops, coupled with our desire to make the sessions worthwhile, only the required number of participants set for each session will be accepted. Those who miss the cut-off point, will be on the waiting list and will be advised in case somebody drops from the roll, otherwise they will have to wait for the next offering of the same workshop.
